Edith Bazile grew up in Roxbury and graduated from Boston Public Schools. After completion of studies at Northeastern University, she launched her career in Boston Public Schools and continued pursuing advanced degrees, including doctoral studies. Edith possesses vast experience in General and Special Education Pre-K through grade 12. She served as Speech/language Pathologist, Lead teacher, Evaluation Team Facilitator, Assistant Program Director for Teaching and Learning, Senior Program Director for Professional Development for Special Education and Related Services, and Program Director for Secondary English Language Arts, Department of Curriculum and Instruction. Edith received a “Service Excellence Award” for her outstanding work in Boston Public Schools. She has also served as adjunct faculty in UMASS Boston Graduate School of Education where she received Merit Status. Edith is currently the President of the Black Educators’ Alliance of Massachusetts (BEAM).
